When it makes sense
Five moments when an audit saves you from deciding blind.
An audit is worth the most right before an expensive decision, or right after a serious problem.
- Before a redesign, to know what to keep.
- Before investing in SEO or advertising.
- When switching providers, to know the site’s real condition.
- After a hack or an outage.
- When the site gets visits but doesn’t generate requests.
Areas
Eight areas, one reading of your site.
Each area answers a business question. Your audit’s scope sets which ones we review and how deeply.
- Architecture Can your client find what they’re looking for?
- Experience (UX and responsive) Is it clear and easy to use on any screen?
- SEO, URLs and indexing Can Google find and show your pages?
- Performance Does it load fast on your client’s phone?
- Security Is it protected and up to date?
- Accessibility Can everyone use it?
- Conversion Does it lead visitors to get in touch?
- Infrastructure Are hosting, domain and email configured correctly?
What you get
Findings ordered so you can decide.

Three ways to assess your site
Self-assessment, project request or audit: choose by what you need to know.
Each looks at your site from a different angle. Only the audit reviews it in depth.
| Self-assessment | Project request | Website audit | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Six questions you answer yourself | A short form we reply to by email | A professional review of your site |
| Time | One minute | A few minutes to fill out | Depends on the scope |
| Cost | Free | Free | with a written proposal |
| What you get | A pointer on what to address first | A reply within two business days and a clear next step | Prioritized findings within the agreed scope |
| Does it analyze your site? | No: it’s based on your answers | We review what you share with us | Yes, in depth |
With the findings in hand, you decide.
You can fix things with your own team, another provider or us. If we work together, the findings become the plan for Web design and development, Web performance or Website maintenance and support. Ongoing care maintains and protects the site; fixing extraordinary findings is quoted separately.
Questions we often hear.
Does the audit cost anything?
Yes. It’s a paid professional service. You receive a written proposal with the scope and investment before we start.
How is it different from a project request?
A project request is free: you tell us about your situation and we reply by email with the next step. An audit is an in-depth review of your site, with prioritized findings.
And from the self-assessment?
The self-assessment is six questions you answer yourself. It points you in a direction, but it doesn’t analyze your site.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the site and the areas included. The timeline is part of the proposal.
What do you need from me?
Your site’s address and, depending on the scope, read-only access to tools such as Search Console or your hosting. We tell you exactly which ones before we start.
